What are the undercarriage parts?
1. Track chain rail section
The excavator walks on crawler tracks, and the traction force of the motor is very large when walking. Since each track link link has a certain length and the drive wheel is gear-shaped, a polygonal effect is produced when walking, that is, the entire track plate is in contact with the ground. When parallel, the driving radius is small; when one side of the track shoe is in contact with the ground, the driving radius is large, resulting in inconsistent walking speeds of the excavator, resulting in vibration. When the operating equipment is used improperly, the road surface is uneven, the tension force changes, and there is a lot of dirt, sand, gravel and other foreign matter on the crawler chain rail joints, it will cause resonance of the crawler chain rail joints, causing the crawler chain rail joints to jump. Accompanied by the sound, in serious cases, it will accelerate the wear of chassis parts and even cause track derailment.
2. Support rollers, crawler tracks and guard plates, driving wheels, and supporting sprockets
The excavator rollers, tracks and guard plates, driving wheels, and supporting sprockets are made of alloy steel and are forged with wear-resistant materials added. Although there is a heat-treated protective film on the metal surface, if it is not operated properly, the track will swell. If the tightening force is inappropriate or there are foreign objects, any metal protective film will be worn away, accelerating the wear of the rollers, tracks and guard plates, driving wheels, and supporting sprockets.
Precautions for use:
(1) Avoid turning in place on concrete pavement.
(2) When passing through a place with a large drop, avoid steering. When crossing an obstacle or place with a large drop, the machine should go straight over the obstacle to prevent the track shoes from falling off.
(3) Regularly adjust the track tension.
3. Floating oil seal
The traveling motor and reducer, supporting rollers, and supporting sprockets require gear oil for lubrication. The floating oil seal is a type of non-contact seal that has the function of preventing oil leakage and will not leak oil under normal use. However, when too much foreign matter such as dirt, sand and gravel accumulates outside, it will enter the inside of the oil seal and cause damage to the oil seal, resulting in oil leakage. In addition, long-term walking of the excavator will cause the oil temperature to rise, the floating oil seal to age, and oil leakage will also occur.
Precautions:
(1) Thoroughly remove mud and water from the fuselage to prevent damage to the seal due to mud and dirt entering the seal together with water droplets.
(2) Park the machine on a hard, dry ground.
(3) Clean foreign objects on the chassis parts in time.
(4) Replace the floating oil seal in time to prevent oil leakage.
