How does a rocker arm work?

The rocker arm is a mechanical transmission mechanism usually used in engines and other equipment. Its main function is to convert the up and down linear motion of the piston into the opening and closing motion of the valve. It can also convert the linear motion in the engine suspension system into rotational motion. The rocker arm usually consists of a shaft, a cam, a roller and an arm. When the cam rotates, the rocker arm will rotate according to the shape of the cam, thereby driving the movement of related components.
