How does a radiator work?
The cooling system is an important part of a small excavator and is a system that ensures the normal operation of the machine. When using a hydraulic small excavator, attention should be paid to the inspection and maintenance of the engine radiator, hydraulic oil cooler and cooling-related parts, otherwise it will Reducing the heat dissipation efficiency of the engine will increase the oil temperature and water temperature, resulting in a decrease in power. In severe cases, it can cause early damage to the engine.
Mini excavator | cooling system
The heat dissipation of the small excavator engine uses suction air cooling, which can achieve good distribution of the air passing through the radiator core. To ensure the original heat dissipation effect of the engine of a small excavator during use, it is necessary to ensure that the heat dissipation-related parts are intact. The following aspects affect the cooling effect:
The filling around the radiator is commonly known as "sponge". But it cannot be replaced by any "sponge". The requirements for it on a small excavator are that it must have good corrosion resistance and temperature resistance, and poor ventilation, because its main function is to prevent the return of hot air, that is, to prevent the cold air sucked in from the front of the radiator from entering after the temperature rises. When it is at the rear of the radiator (engine compartment), it cannot flow back to the front of the radiator.
If some high-temperature gas flows back to the radiator, the heat dissipation effect of the system will inevitably be reduced, which will cause the temperature of the oil and water to rise, causing the engine to not work properly and causing early damage. Therefore, when using a small excavator, you must not neglect the inspection and repair of the "sponge" around the radiator, and replace the damaged parts in time.
