How does a main & relief valves work?
1. The function and working principle of the excavator main gun
The main gun of the excavator is one of the main control valves in the hydraulic system of the excavator. It mainly controls the working pressure and flow of the hydraulic system. The setting of the main gun can not only generate sufficient working pressure for the hydraulic system, but also control the flow of hydraulic oil to ensure the normal operation of each component and the normal operation of the excavator.
The working principle of the main gun is: when the hydraulic pump starts to work, the hydraulic oil will be pressed into the main gun, flowing inside the main gun to generate a high-pressure oil flow, and then sent to the hydraulic motor and other hydraulic components through pipes. Since the main gun has a certain built-in regulating valve, the high-pressure oil flow can be adjusted as needed to meet the needs of different working conditions.
2. The function and working principle of the auxiliary relief valve of the excavator
The auxiliary relief valve of the excavator is a relief valve in the hydraulic system of the excavator. It mainly plays the role of preventing overload of the hydraulic system and protecting system components from damage. When hydraulic oil flows through the auxiliary relief valve, if the system's working pressure exceeds the set value, the valve will automatically open and slowly release the excess hydraulic oil back to the tank, thereby protecting the hydraulic components from damage.
The working principle of the auxiliary relief valve is: when the working pressure of the hydraulic system exceeds the set value, the steel balls and springs separate, and the hydraulic oil will flow back to the tank through the channel in the valve. By adjusting the tightness of the spring, the valve opening pressure can be controlled to adapt to different working needs.
In short, the excavator main gun and auxiliary relief valve are important components in the excavator hydraulic system. They mainly play the role of controlling the pressure and flow of the hydraulic system, ensuring the normal operation of the hydraulic system and protecting system components from damage.
